*Le envío esta CARTA DE APOYO como antropólogo (PhD, Berlín 1985), peruano (desde 1993) con experiencia de largos años entre comunidades nativas amazónicas.*

*Esto no sólo como Director de la Filial del Ministerio de Cultura de Amazonas/Perú, sino también como Coordinador de "Nature and Culture lnternational" (NCI) de los EEUU.* 

*Durante los trabajos con NCI como Coordinador se crearon en estrecha coordinación con aproximadamente 20 comunidades nativas Awajún 3 ÁREAS NATURALES DE CONSERVACIÓN de unas 70, 000 hectáreas, administradas por las mismas poblaciones originarias:  Pamau Nain, Tijae Nain y Dase Nain.*

*Los Awajún son uno de los 4 subgrupos de la macro etnia Jíbara.*

*Con aproximadamente 80,000 individuos son el segundo grupo étnico más grande de la Amazonía Peruana.*

*Por la confianza mutua creada entre los Awajún y mi persona, como consultor estoy hasta el presente en permanente comunicación con ellos.*

*POR LAS EXPERIENCIAS ARRIBA RESUMIDAS CONSIDERO QUE LA METODOLOGÍA SAVIMBO, QUE SE BASA EN EL CONOCIMIENTO ANCESTRAL INDÍGENA, ES INMEDIATA E INCOMPARABLEMENTE MÁS EFICIENTE QUE LAS USUALES ESTRATEGIAS DE PROTECCIÓN DEL MEDIO AMBIENTE AMAZÓNICO.*

*Por lo tanto, considero, que la metodología Savimbo también se podría aplicar en el futuro perfectamente entre las Comunidades Awajún .*
