# Apéndice D: Ejemplo de categorización de la riqueza de especies para Colombia

Muchas de las regiones más biodiversas del planeta tienen datos incompletos o inexactos. A continuación se muestra una tabla con la riqueza de especies y el riesgo para la biodiversidad de un ejemplo de PCB en la Amazonia Putumayense. Es incompleta. Aunque la tabla es sencilla, los datos en sí mismos y las fuentes de datos están muy poco desarrollados.

Algunas fuentes de datos públicas fáciles de usar para recopilar esta información incluyen (pero definitivamente no se limitan a):

* [Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF)](https://www.gbif.org/country/CO/about)
* [eBird](https://ebird.org/region/CO?yr=all)

Cabe destacar que los médicos tradicionales "taitas" de la región describen un formulario de plantas medicinales de casi 3.000 plantas vasculares, casi el doble de las plantas vasculares caracterizadas en la ciencia occidental para la región.
